Attorney fees

In France, there is no mandatory fee scale for attorney fees. The amount of firm’s fees are determined according to the difficulty of the issues, the client’s situation, the work to be carried out and the time required for the matter.

The question of fees is discussed in complete transparency at the first appointment during which the case is assessed.

After this first meeting, Mrs. Honzikova will propose a fee agreement defining the diligences to be carried out and the terms of remuneration.

The firm offers several biling forms :

• Flat-rate fee : a fixed, global amount for the entire procedure or steps defined with the client (for ex. for the divorce procedure)

• Fixed fee and an additional fee based on the result obtained (contingency fee)

• Hourly rate : billing based on the time spent on the case (approx. between 150 and 200 EUR per hour)

Depending on the type of case, a retainer may be requested prior to the legal services.

The firm may agree to set up payment facilities in instalments.

Legal protection insurance may cover all or part of the firm’s fees, depending on the terms and conditions of the insurance contract.
